Sargent Marion Keyhole and Doorknob Escutcheons

$40.00

| /

These bronze Art Nouveau escutcheons from Sargent are part of their "Marion" line, and were produced throughout the first quarter of the 20th century. These particular escutcheons were made for smaller mortise locks and French doors, so they're a little on the smaller side, which really only emphasizes their delicate, scrolling designs. They may be small, but they're certainly not understated!

Condition: Great antique condition. They are heavily coated with patina, and have surface wear commensurate with age, including a decent amount of verdigris. Structurally, however, these have seen shockingly little wear for being at least a century old! Each one is stamped on the back with their model number, "705 MA." Sold individually, mounting hardware not included.
