Accessibility

In the store: Our store is located in a historic building, with all the pros and cons that come with that. While it is full of charm and character, it is also unfortunately difficult for some folks to navigate. The majority of our hardware section is located at ground level, and we do have ramps that lead to our architecture and plumbing sections, as well as our cashier. However, the ramps are a bit steep, and the lighting department is only accessible via stairs. If you are unable to physically explore our store but are looking for something in particular, please reach out to us via phone or email, and we'll do our best to find it for you!

Parts of our store are also admittedly a bit cluttered, and how well-lit an area is varies by the time of the day (and because a lot of our lighting is store inventory). If you're having difficulty navigating or trouble seeing something while in the store, let us know and we'll do our best to help!

On our site: All new product photos on our site should have alt text for screen readers, and we are currently working on adding alt text to older images - however, we have a lot of images on the site, and our web department is rather small. While we're working on updating them, if you find an item or an image that does not have alt text and you'd like more information about it, please reach out to us! We'd be happy to provide that information for you.

We know there are a wide range of accessibility needs when it comes to surfing the web, and while we do our best to adhere to industry standards, it's entirely possible that we've missed something. If you notice any other accessibility issues while browsing our site, please let us know, so we can fix it! We want our website to be as accessible as it can be, and we're always happy to take suggestions on how we can accomplish that.
