These gorgeous cast brass doorknobs were produced in the early and mid 1920s, and straddle the line between Art Nouveau's delicate floral designs and Art Deco's clean lines and geometric motifs. Simple and charming, these timeless designs come from Sargent Manufacturing, who have been making locks and doorknobs since 1857, and whose work is well-known amongst collectors of vintage and antique hardware. While we do not, unfortunately, have the original rosettes these would have come with, we do have many other rosettes for sale both in-store and online which would pair nicely with this design - check out what we have available here!
Condition: Excellent antique condition. Surface wear and patina commensurate with age, including some surface rust on the spindle, and one set screw is somewhat worn. One knob is also noticeably darker/more coated in patina than the other. The knobs themselves, however, are still in great shape, and the pattern still stands out wonderfully. Set includes two knobs, each with a set screw, with a 16 TPI spindle.
