Opalescent Milk Glass Petticoat Shade

Petticoat shades like this one are designed to sit on the glass chimneys of flat-wick kerosene and oil lamps, dispersing and softening the light from the flame. This one, made of delicate opalescent milk glass, certainly exemplifies the soft elegance petticoat shades are made for!

Condition: Great vintage condition. Some minor chipping along the inner edge, and the translucence of the glass is a little uneven, with the glass being more translucent towards the center, as seen in the photos.
