To be honest, based on the thickness and texture of the fitter on each shade, we \u003cem\u003esuspect\u003c\/em\u003e that these shades may actually be bowls with the bottoms cut out - but they still fit a standard 2 1\/4\" fitter, so however they came to be, they're just fine by us!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCondition: Overall great vintage condition, with only some minor chipping around the fitter of each piece. The exception is one badly cracked ruffle on one of the shades - see last photograph for degree of damage.
