Hippo Summer is in full swing!  Out enjoying the sunshine? Come on down and check us out.  Hippo is a great place to browse or to find something one-of-a-kind. We are always getting new (and new old) inventory.  And if you're looking for that hard to find piece, please drop by and ask our knowledgeable and helpful sales staff. 

Thanks for your support for the canned food drive last month!  We look forward to seeing you here.

Our beautiful Oregon summer is nearly here again! While you're out enjoying the nicer weather, stop by Hippo to see our always changing inventory! We're sure to have something new and interesting.

Come support our canned food drive!  When you come by the store, be sure to bring canned goods and deposit them in the large blue bin near the front of the store.  The donated food will go to Sunshine Division to help our less fortunate neighbors.

Big changes are happening in the Hippo family.  Morgan Miller has moved on to pursue her Ph.D. in Switzerland.  We will all miss her dearly.  We welcome Rachel to the downstairs office.  She's been up in the lighting shop for a while now, and is happy to make both the shop and the office her home.

Stop on by!  The hippos would love to see you!

Drop by Hippo now to see our new offerings in clawfoot bathtubs.  We just got more than twenty new tubs in stock!  We'd love it if you'd stop by and have a look!!

 Spring is in the air!  Here at Hippo we are enjoying the precious Oregon sunshine and working on getting a little prettier ourselves.  The hardware department has been organizing these past few months to present our beautiful knobs and pulls.  Plumbing and lighting have been stocking up on new and exciting inventory.   

Thanks to a helpful suggestion from a customer, we are now offering Hippo Chips online!  They are still hand written and mailed out, as we have no electronic methods yet.  What a wonderful gift for friends, loved ones, or yourself!

We've made our lists, checked them twice, and are ready for this holiday season. 

We've stocked up on great holiday gift ideas like mermaid hooks, penguine doorknockers, wall mounted bottle openers, and table and floor lamps.  We're also happy to help you get your home ready for  holiday guests.  Our lighting shop can get your fixtures clean and rewired or our hardware experts can help you make sure no one gets locked in the bathroom (again).  See our listing in the new Northwest Home + Garden's 175 Top Shops for Portland and Seattle!

We've found our first bugs!  The firefox/mozilla browser will not let you enter more than '1' in the quantity selection on the item screen.  However, you can enter other numbers successfully in the Shopping Cart screen.
