1. What is Hippo Hardware?
Hippo Hardware is a number of things: It is a museum, a junk store, an antique store, a plumbing store, a lighting store, an architecture store, and a hardware store.

3. Do you do custom work and repairs?
Yes we do. Our Lighting shop is Underwriters Laboratory approved to custom-build or repair light fixtures and lamps. No other department is accepting repair work at this time. We are very handy with advice however if you would like to learn how to fix it yourself or where to take it to get it fixed. Bringing it in is always a good idea.
4. Can I order over the web?
Of course! In fact, Hippo Hardware encourages it! We can ship items worldwide. You can also send us e-mail.
5. How long has Hippo Hardware been on-line?
Hippo Hardware has been on-line since 1989. Steven Miller (co-owner/founder of Hippo Hardware) knew early on that the Internet would soon become a great tool for people worldwide. In 1995, we put our web page up. We were the first hardware store on the web.
6. How do I give you feedback on your web site?

7. Do you have catalogs on-line?
We are in the process of building our online catalogue.
8. Can you send me a catalog?
We would love to send you a catalog, but unfortunately, with so many items floating in, out and around the store an original Hippo Hardware catalog would be pretty hard to do.
9. What if I don’t see what I want?
E-mail us. We have over 130,000 one-of-a-kind items and an excellent staff with extensive knowledge about nearly everything. Chances are very good we can find it for you.
10. Is my order in yet?
We are always happy to talk to you about your order. Orders generally take 6-8 weeks to arrive. If it has been less than 8 weeks your order is probably in the normal flow of our store. If it has been longer than 8 weeks, please call.
